Who We Are
Mr. Mahmut Bak, a sector pioneer, first planted 250 agricultural apricot trees in Darende, Malatya, Turkey, in 1965. This marked the beginning of the Baktar Family Corporation. The Baktar brand initially traded in fried apricots in the early 1980s. Since then, both the brand and the business have continued to grow gradually. The second generation, represented by Mr. Yakup Bak, established the apricot factory at the beginning of 2002. Finally, the third generation, named after their grandfather, along with family members, established the most recent factory in 2011. Now, as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Baktar business, we operate an integrated factory with a 4,000 m² indoor capacity and a total facility area of 10,000 m². It is one of the largest in the Malatya region, encompassing 650,000 m² with 8,000 trees across four different orchards. Our business encompasses a wide range of sectors, from fresh fruits and dried fruits to nuts, seeds, and poultry rearing.

To produce our taste, which has been passed down from the past to the present in our country, we combine natural methods with technology without disrupting traditional production methods. Our aim is to continually promote our quality, products, and brand on both national and international platforms. The Baktar Dried Apricots factory, established in 2012, has a production and packaging area of 4,000 m², along with 1,000 m² of cold storage. The facility works to increase its capacity and develop its sales network daily, exporting to nearly every continent and 30 different countries. Since its inception, Baktar has been active in trading raw materials and commodities in the markets for dried and fresh fruits, nuts, pulses, and seeds. We manufacture, package, and trade under international food safety conditions, ensuring our own quality control, conducting sampling at our facilities, and building long-term cooperation.
